As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

Have 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors according to location procedures.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular activity per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site representatives and/or public emergency services as needed.
Document patrols, incidents, and daily activity in written reports and logs, and communicate observations during shift handoff.
Assist with screening of packages, deliveries, and vehicles as required by government location procedures.
Support orderly movement of pedestrians and/or vehicles in parking, loading, and restricted areas, following site rules and signage.
Participate in drills, briefings, and required training to maintain understanding of post orders, emergency procedures, and reporting requirements.
Maintain a professional presence, resolve minor issues through verbal de-escalation when appropriate, and escalate concerns through the chain of command.
