Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with particular attention to areas relevant to the technology and media environment.
- Monitor access points and screen individuals entering and exiting the premises, maintaining awareness of any potential security-related concerns specific to a technology, media, or telecom location.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal procedures.
- Engage with employees, visitors, and/or contractors in a professional manner while maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned patrol routes.
- Remain alert to the unique security-related needs of a technology, media, or telecom location, adapting response as required by site-specific protocols.
