About The Position

As a Security Officer Roving Patrols in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

  • 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disorderly conduct.
  • Document daily activity, incidents, and/or observations in written or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
