About The Position

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and/or appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry, provide directions and information, and support orderly movement of visitors and personnel in accordance with location protocols.
• Complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation, and relay important observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site representatives.
