About The Position

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to document observations and assist visitors and personnel. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, production-area exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and report access-control concerns, suspicious activity, hazardous-condition observations, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site protocols and coordinating with emergency personnel as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, patrol documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site-specific requirements.
