As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with tenants and/or visitors, and support a welcoming environment through customer service and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal policies, and a commitment to integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property, including common areas, building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify property management and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing guest and vendor activity, verifying access when directed, and maintaining awareness of restricted areas.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant observations during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
