About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Shift in Medford, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a dynamic retail environment. You will engage with visitors and staff, respond to situations as they arise, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and offers an opportunity to make a positive impact while upholding our company's values of teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies while assisting customers and staff at the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter theft and unauthorized access, and report any suspicious behavior or incidents as required.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding customers and employees during incidents.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities while on duty as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with store management and law enforcement as needed to report incidents and provide information relevant to security-related matters.
