Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce incidents. You will respond to alarms, support access control, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter spaces, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management processes, helping to control entry, verify authorization when required, and direct individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, trespassing concerns, and property-related incidents, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs regarding incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
