As a Security Officer Retail Center Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Security Officers patrol assigned government locations and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed driving post, you will conduct routine patrols, support access awareness, and respond to site needs with agility, reliability, and innovation. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site directives and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, document observations, and communicate with staff, visitors, and/or public personnel regarding security-related concerns.
• Complete routine reports, maintain awareness of surroundings, and support emergency preparedness activities based on the needs of the assigned location.
