About The Position

As a Security Officer - Resort Guest Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, stay highly visible, respond to alarms and/or guest concerns, and help identify and report security-related issues. You will deliver a welcoming customer service experience, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with after-hours checks, and coordinate with site management and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete routine reports such as patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to supervisors, and support a positive guest experience through professional presence and assistance.
