Security Officer - Resort Roving Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Resort Roving Patrol in Panama City Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas and back-of-house spaces, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while delivering a welcoming service experience. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, noise complaints, unauthorized access concerns, and medical calls as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, pool areas, parking areas, elevators, stairwells, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by verifying credentials as required, issuing passes when applicable, and directing guests to appropriate areas while maintaining professional presence.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts according to established procedures.
