As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors while documenting activity. Requirements
- Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, fire alarms, and/or policy violations, and request additional support when needed.
- Monitor access points and common areas, help to identify unauthorized persons and/or hazardous conditions, and communicate directions and information to the appropriate parties.
- Complete timely reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
