About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Rover Driver in Glen Oaks, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols and visible rounds to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to resident questions and/or concerns, and communicate clear reports to your team. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential community setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency services and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and document resident and visitor activity during patrols, report policy violations and/or maintenance concerns, and complete incident reports and daily activity logs.
  • Assist with access control during patrol rounds by observing entry and exit points, addressing resident and visitor questions, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
