About The Position

As a Security Guard - Apartment Patrol Driver in Glen Oaks, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will complete vehicle patrols, conduct routine property checks, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and site leadership while delivering customer service with professionalism. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
Monitor access points and observe visitor and vehicle activity, verifying authorization where required and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in written reports and/or activity logs, and communicate significant events to site leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
