About The Position

As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a residential community location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe community activity, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
