Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer serving a residential community, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a welcoming presence for residents and guests. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, clear communication, and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability while creating a secure environment at the location.

Requirements

Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors to help maintain authorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the residential location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance needs as required by site protocols.
Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff, providing assistance or information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
