Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer serving a residential community, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a welcoming presence for residents and guests. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, clear communication, and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and reliability while creating a secure environment at the location.

Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors to help maintain authorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the residential location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance needs as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and staff, providing assistance or information as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
