Job Description As a Security Officer - Residential Access Control in Calabasas, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service within a residential community. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment for residents and guests. You will interact with community members, address inquiries, and respond to situations as they arise. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points at the residential location, verifying the credentials of residents, visitors, and vendors.
  • Assist residents and guests by providing customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, suspicious activities, or maintenance issues as observed during patrols or access control duties.
  • Collaborate with residential management and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Follow all site-specific emergency response protocols when appropriate.
