About The Position

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other monitoring systems; investigate alerts and report irregular conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations by assessing conditions, requesting assistance as needed, and following site escalation and notification procedures.
Complete detailed written reports and/or electronic entries for patrol activity, incidents, access activity, and key events; communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
Support security-related screening and inspection procedures as directed, including vehicle checks and delivery verification, consistent with site requirements.
Coordinate with site contacts and emergency services during drills and/or real-world events, helping to maintain orderly response actions until relieved by authorized personnel.
