As a Front Desk Security Officer in a retail location, you will welcome customers and team members, manage access control and badges, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. Your calm, customer-first presence helps support a polished shopping experience while helping to deter incidents. Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Operate the front desk by greeting guests, managing access control, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries to the proper point of contact.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications equipment to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete required logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and escalate maintenance and/or operational issues through Allied Universal protocols.
