As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, greet employees and visitors with strong customer service, and verify credentials and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

• MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff access control points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing truck driver check-in and/or check-out, and directing authorized traffic to designated areas.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; document access activity and irregular conditions; and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, basic first aid response, and coordination with local responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, trailer rows, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
