As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. You will support operations by answering questions, coordinating with site contacts, and using a computer or tablet to track entries and reports. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shack.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by monitoring the front desk, greeting visitors, answering phones, and directing guests to the appropriate location within the logistics and distribution facility.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badge issuance, and coordinating with site contacts for visitor approvals.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, and alarm panels as assigned, and report unusual activity consistent with site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident reports, visitor records, and shift activity summaries, and communicate key information during shift turnover.
