As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will support access control by checking credentials, managing badges, and logging visitors, trucks, and deliveries. You will complete routine patrols and remain visible to help to reduce security-related issues, while providing strong customer service and clear communication to employees and guests. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing traffic to designated areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; report unusual activity and initiate notifications per site protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
