As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a residential location, you will remain a welcoming, visible presence while monitoring access, observing activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will support residents, guests, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach and caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the residential location by verifying visitors, reviewing delivery activity, and reporting unusual or suspicious activity according to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property staff and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, and support front desk operations by providing directions, handling inquiries, and maintaining professional communication.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and other documentation related to security-related incidents, visitor activity, and/or daily front desk responsibilities.
