As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and support orderly traffic flow for employees, drivers, and guests. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity while partnering with site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

• MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems; report unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts and complete required logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
