About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Specialist in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor assigned areas from a stationary post, and support security-related operations through clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and supporting access-related protocols for a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, verify identification and/or credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate front desk logs and records in alignment with site policies.
  • Answer questions, direct guests to the appropriate contacts or areas, and communicate clearly with onsite personnel regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or service requests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to established procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including notifying designated contacts, documenting events, and helping to coordinate orderly lobby and entrance activity.
