Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk of a financial services location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, assist with visitor check-in processes, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contact when needed.
  • Support access control operations by observing entry points, maintaining awareness of incoming and outgoing traffic, and documenting security-related events in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or vendors while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
