Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Monitor access to the facility, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and emergency services when needed.
  • Observe front-desk activity and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while providing professional communication and support to the campus community.
