Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for policy compliance, assist with directions and general inquiries, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels.
• Support daily operations during busy shopping periods, special events, and/or closing procedures by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders for assigned areas.
