About The Position

As a Security Officer Protective Inspection in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will support access control by screening visitors, verifying credentials, and communicating clearly with employees and guests. You will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment while identifying and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

  • Access Control and Badge Experience preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Screen personnel and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
  • Verify identification, access credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting entry to controlled areas.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access points, maintain accurate logs and records, and report equipment issues or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed.
