About The Position

As a Security Officer Property Patrol in Holtsville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or site concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in support of location protocols for a technology-focused environment, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations, and follow post orders for daily operations and escalation procedures.
