As a Security Officer Property Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role blends customer service, communication, and professionalism while supporting daily operations. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of government facility rules, restricted areas, and visitor activity.
  • Support daily operations by completing incident reports, communicating clearly with team members and/or site personnel, and following post orders during routine and emergency situations.
