As a Security Officer Property Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, office spaces, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related events.
