Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and/or crowd management during busy shopping periods or special events.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and/or following site procedures related to trespassing, loitering, and after-hours access.
