About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Gatehouse in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry logs, and directing visitors and contractors to approved destinations.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate with site contacts for access approvals, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or removal of property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting irregular conditions and/or hazards according to post orders.
