About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Driver Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document activity, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and property staff while providing a customer-focused presence. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations; communicate directions and information as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact site management and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns in written reports and logs; communicate noteworthy updates during shift turnover.
