As an unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor procedures, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Observe compliance with site rules, report hazardous or damaged conditions, and assist with traffic, delivery, and evacuation procedures as assigned.
