Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing visitors and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a professional presence while communicating with site representatives, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as needed.
