Security Officer Patrol - Part Time Swing/Graveyard Shift

About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location in Kihei, Hawaii, you will safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, employees, management, and, when requested, local law enforcement while supporting a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled for Monday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM and Thursday and Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $23.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, storefront exteriors, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security incidents according to site procedures.
Maintain clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with retail staff, visitors, and local law enforcement when requested.
