As a Security Officer Patrol - Full Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail tenants by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or local emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for policy compliance, assist with directional support, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or unauthorized activity.
• Complete routine reports and document incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
