As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity according to post orders, visitor procedures, and/or vehicle screening practices.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
