As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants, guests, and staff with strong communication and customer service, while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

• Have 6+ months of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, exterior perimeters, corridors, and/or parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
• Monitor access points and activity within the property, including observing for suspicious behavior, assisting with directions and information requests, and supporting tenant needs when appropriate.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site management, and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
