Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and sensitive access points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Support staff, patients, and visitors with directions, access procedures, and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal standards.
