Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of classrooms, studios, common areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Support a welcoming learning environment by assisting with directions, observing for security-related concerns, and communicating professionally with campus community members and local responders when needed.
