About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Sturgis, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and support visitor and delivery processing in accordance with site protocols.
  • Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general support for patients, staff, and/or guests while maintaining a professional presence in areas where conditions and activity levels may vary.
