As a Security Officer Patrol Unarmed Enhanced Part Time in Jackson, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts according to post procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or restricted-area access concerns to the appropriate site personnel.
Support shift operations by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and following Allied Universal post orders and client-directed security-related procedures.
