About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Theft Prevention in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors and employees. You will conduct routine rounds, observe activity, communicate professionally, and report concerns. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter prohibited behavior.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by reporting hazards, property concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
