As a Security Officer Patrol Team Member in Alabaster, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, hallways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when appropriate, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or daily activity.
  • Support a professional environment by giving directions, assisting with visitor questions, and communicating clearly with staff, patients, and emergency responders during routine and urgent situations.
