About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Defuniak Springs, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access awareness and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials and/or visitor information when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities in accordance with post instructions.
Support emergency response activities and assist with traffic flow, trailer yard observation, and/or package handling area awareness based on location needs and working conditions.
