As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and integrity while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site policies for a controlled industrial environment.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership with detailed documentation, communication, and follow-up related to incidents, patrol findings, and/or policy-related concerns.
