Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders and facility protocols.
  • Screen visitors, maintain visitor logs, issue and collect access credentials, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured entry points, and other security-related issues.
